The CORBIN™Adapter is a simple, low-cost device that allows you to use a low volume saliva ejector tip with high volume evacuation (HVE).
The higher rate of fluid removal using HVE is great for removing potentially contaminated aerosols directly from the patient’s mouth, to reduce the risk of contamination. It is also useful when a patient has difficulty swallowing.
However, HVE tips are generally awkward to maneuver, and do not bend. The new CORBIN™Adapter allows you to use a more manageable low volume tip, and attach it with ease to HVE.
Low-cost and with no need for additional equipment, the CORBIN™ Adapter was designed by Judith Corbin, RDH who treated people with special needs. Long before the COVID outbreak, she saw the need for high volume evacuation with a more manageable tip than those on the market.
The CORBIN Adapters can be autoclaved up to 10 times*. Replace after that, or when they look worn. The package includes 4 adapters each. Available now.
*Always follow OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control procedures.
